The Nissan Rogue is comfortable and versatile. It offers a host of driver assistance and safety features that make it a good choice for families and those with a long commute. The SV trim provides all the features you need at a lower price than the SL.

What are the features of the 2020 Nissan Rogue SV?

This compact SUV has a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower. Standard features of the SV package include a motion-activated liftgate and rear privacy glass. Rear sonar and rear automatic braking make the daily drive safer. 17-inch aluminum wheels and chrome door handles improve curb appeal.

We’ll look at the Nissan Rogue and the features that set the SV trim apart. Is this the SUV you need in your driveway, or is it left behind by the competition?

The 2020 Nissan Rogue

First, the downside of the Rogue: All three trim levels have the 2.5-liter DOHC 16 valve 4-cylinder engine. At 170 horsepower and 175 feet of torque, performance is lackluster.

It’s available as a front-wheel-drive (FWD) or an all-wheel-drive (AWD). Both drivetrains have a CVT automatic transmission. The AWD gets 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The FWD model gets 26 mpg with city driving and 33 mpg on the highway.

The S trim is the base model. It comes with 17-inch steel wheels; 17-inch aluminum wheels are optional. The SV is the middle trim, and it comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels, with optional 18-inch aluminum wheels. The SL is the highest trim where 19-inch aluminum wheels are standard.

What the Rogue lacks in power it makes up for with safety features. It is carefully designed with knee bolsters, steel side-door guard beams, and an energy-absorbing steering column. It has dual-stage airbags with passenger sensors, and roof airbags for all seats.

All models have an Advanced driver-assist display and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard. Door-to-door navigation and voice recognition are optional on S and SV trims.

2020 Nissan Rogue SV Features

The SV has a lot of features to make your daily drive easier. All Rogues come with Front Sonar, but the SV trim also has Rear Sonar.

Sensors will sound a chime alarm in the vehicle when you are nearing an obstacle. Rear automatic braking is also standard. This will automatically apply the brake when you near an obstacle.

Rear privacy glass, roof rails, and chrome door handles add to the look of the vehicle. It also has a motion-activated liftgate, which is a convenient feature for busy families.

In addition to the standard features, there are some notable optional features as well. Options include a panoramic moonroof and electronic parking brake.

The Intelligent Around View Monitor provides several cameras to give you a complete view of your car and obstacles. It’s great for parking in tight spaces and even offers a birdseye view.

ProPilot Assist is a must-have for commuters. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist keep the vehicle at the right speed and on the road. It can also automatically stop the vehicle and bring it back to speed when traffic starts going again.

There are a few features that aren’t available on the SV. Fog lights are standard on the SL, and not available with other trims. LED taillights are standard on all trims. LED headlights are available as an option on the SL.

Is the 2020 Rogue SV Right for You?

The 2020 Rogue SV isn’t big on power, but it can make your daily drive easier and safer. Before you make a decision, you should check out Vehicle History. You’ll find owner and expert reviews and a full list of specs for each trim level.
