2020 Subaru Outback

Automobile companies work hard to create reliable vehicles that customers can depend on. Unfortunately, even when they try their hardest, problems can still occur. Manufacturing issues with vehicles may not be obvious until after they’ve been sold. The company then issues a recall so that the vehicle owners know that they need to bring their vehicle in to have it serviced. These recalls should be handled immediately so that the vehicle remains safe to drive. In addition, they are provided to the owner free of charge when the vehicle is serviced by the dealership.

How many recalls have been issued for the 2020 Subaru Outback?

The 2020 Subaru Outback wagon has had one recall issued for the brake pedal mounting bracket.

In this article, we’ll cover this recall for the 2020 Subaru Outback in detail. Then you can follow the steps that we’ll provide to have the problem with your vehicle fixed by a certified repair professional.

Loose or Missing Brake Pedal Mounting Bracket Bolt

NHTSA Recall ID: 19V664000

Brakes should work without any issues, helping the car stop safely and reliably. However, some Subaru Outbacks have braking issues caused by a loose or missing bolt in the mounting bracket for the brake pedal. Subaru issued a recall for their 2020 Outbacks so that owners can have this issue checked out and repaired.

Ignoring this recall could cause a dramatic decrease in braking performance and could possibly result in braking failure or a crash. This makes it especially important to have it inspected immediately.

Repairs include evaluating the mounting bracket for the brake pedal and replacing the bolt, so the brakes will work reliably every time, and you can get back to enjoying your Subaru Outback safely.

What Should You Do About an Open Recall on a 2020 Subaru Outback?

Are you unsure if your 2020 Subaru Outback has an open recall? Head over to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and input your VIN into their form (or your year, make and model). Their system will let you know if you have any outstanding recalls.

If you get an alert, determine if the recall is still pending, and then call the Subaru customer service line at 1 (800) 782-2783 to ask what to do next. They can tell you where to get your vehicle repaired and what to expect during the recall service.

It’s not easy to see problems immediately, so before you purchase that great-looking 2020 Subaru Outback, check out its vehicle history.

Failure of electronic system
My Subaru Outback (2020) totally died at an intersection and the electronics went crazy. I could not put it in park or do anything with it. It had to be towed. It only has about 21,000 miles on it. I purchased the extended warranty and every time I went to the dealer, I explained that the electronic system had glitches. It was never right and kept having problems. Of course, it was 3 weeks out of warranty when this happened. Anyone else have these issues?

Mr
Subaru failed to address the engine oil leaks on my sons 2016 Subaru outback wagon when it was under warranty ,should we get the Accc to investigate the failure of Subaru to address this problem as it is quite expensive to fix the problem, they were advised at every service of this continuing oil leak yet did nothing to resolve the matter. The vehicle has been serviced at Warragul Subaru, and Traralgon Subaru.

Safety features dh
I have a 2020 Subaru the sensors need to be replaced. All the safety features in my car do not work. What to do? Dealer says to go ahead and drive. Very unsettling Is there going to be a recall
