What models does Cadillac make?

  • CT4: $32,995 – $45,390
  • CT5: $36,895 – $50,890
  • XT4: $35,795 – $42,990
  • Escalade: $76,195 – $107,290

What features do Cadillacs have? Do they have enough power to breeze around town? Are they safe? There’s a lot to learn about all these models before you can truly know which one you want. Thankfully, you can rely on this article for all the info you need.

XT4: $35,795 – $42,990

As the smallest of Cadillac’s luxury SUVs, the XT4 packs a whole lot of value into its relatively tiny footprint. You get five comfortable seats with a stunning 39.5-inches of legroom for rear passengers, for starters.

Plus, the interior looks as good as it feels whether you opt for the leatherette or perforated leather materials. Both the wood and carbon fiber trim perfectly complete the luxury aesthetic, so you cannot go wrong in whatever you pick.

And even though it has a relatively small wheelbase, it doesn’t skimp on the power. The turbo 2.0L four-cylinder engine can zip you around town with ease while getting up to 30 miles per gallon.

Other specs you’ll enjoy include:

  • 235 horsepower
  • 258 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Optional all-wheel drive
  • Nine exterior color options
  • Plenty of room for five

Both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) put the 2020 XT4 through a full range of crash tests. It received ‘Good’ scores across the board on the IIHS tests. As for the NHTSA, it gave an overall five-star rating.

When it comes to owners, they are equally smitten with this compact Cadillac model. From its smooth, quiet ride to its nimble handling, this vehicle never fails to impress. Absolutely everyone loves the high-tech navigation system and gigantic sunroof as well.

XT5: $43,995 – $55,590

Like the XT4, the XT5 is a luxury compact SUV with a bit more power and cargo space than its little brother. Although it still seats five, it has almost 20 more cubic feet of cargo space with the seats down. With the seats up, it has eight cubic feet extra.

As far as its power is concerned, you can upgrade from the turbo 2.0L four-cylinder powerplant to the 3.6L V6. Although it’s naturally aspirated, it generates a lot more power and torque to give you tons of get up and go.

Beyond that, it has:

  • Up to 310 horsepower
  • Up to 271 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Comfortable seating for five
  • Six driver assist features
  • Digital gauge cluster

The 2020 model already went through NHTSA and IIHS crash tests. The NHTSA gave it a five-star safety rating and it received a ‘Good’ overall from the IIHS. Only the headlights got a ‘Marginal’ score, largely due to the inadequate visibility of the high beams.

The XT5 has everyone talking about what a good luxury SUV it is. Fans are wild about its safety features, including the heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, and parking assist. They also like that it seamlessly connects to Android and Apple smartphones without a problem.

XT6: $47,995 – $57,690

If you need a little more room, the mid-size XT6 is where it’s at. With this model, you get room for up to seven plus 78 cubic feet of cargo space. Your passengers will be comfortable wherever they sit in this cabin. Even at the rear, they will have around 37 inches of headroom plus plenty of legroom, too.

With its bigger footprint, it’s best equipped with the 3.0L V6, though you can still opt for the turbo 2.0L. You also get to choose between the front- or all-wheel drive platform, as is the case with the others in the XT series.

This SUV comes with:

  • Up to 310 horsepower
  • Up to 271 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Seating for seven
  • Eight paint options
  • Six driver assist features

As with the other XT-series SUV, the 2020 XT6 performed beautifully on the NHTSA crash tests, earning five stars overall. Its IIHS scores were even more impressive, which landed it as the Top Safety Pick+ for 2020.

Owners agree that this mid-size Cadillac model offers an excellent mix of comfort and tech features. They are always eager to take it on road trips or just head over to the store to get an extra drive into the day. They love that it has room for everyone and all their gear. Even dogs can get in on the fun.

Escalade: $76,195 – $107,290

The Escalade is a true icon that offers endless luxury in the full-size SUV package. You can get either the regular or ESV version. Either way, you get comfortable seating for up to seven and between 94 to 120 cubic feet of cargo space.

Across both types and all trim levels, this SUV comes with the powerful 6.2L V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Plus, you can customize it from nose to tail. You have your choice of eight paint colors and two interior hues plus five rim styles.

Expect to enjoy:

  • 420 horsepower
  • 460 lb.-ft. of torque
  • 8,100 pound towing capacity
  • Optional four wheel drive
  • Dual zone climate controls

The 2020 Escalade has not been rated by the NHTSA yet. The 2018 model received four stars when it was tested, however. There are no current scores from the IIHS.

Owners proudly state that they adore this SUV for being so gorgeous and well built. They rave about the comfort in every seat and its ample cargo space. The safety technology also gets high marks for its ability to make piloting such a big vehicle much easier.

CT4: $32,995 – $45,390

The CT4 came on the scene in 2019 as a replacement for the well-loved CTS. You can get it in four trim levels, including the powerful V-Series. Those trims come with either the turbo 2.0L or the 2.7L Dual Volute turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant.

Cadillac reworked its sedan design from nose to tail to make it look much more futuristic. The interior is every bit as luxurious as you might expect with its 8- to 18-way adjustable seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 8-inch touchscreen.

Other things you might like include:

  • Up to 325 horsepower
  • Up to 380 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Optional all-wheel drive
  • Intelligent driver assist systems
  • 10.7 cubic feet of cargo space

Neither the IIHS nor NHTSA has rated the CT4 since its release. The CTS only earned an overall ‘Marginal’ score from the IIHS, but the full chassis redesign will likely change things.

Despite the huge redesign, inside and out, owners love the CT4 every bit as much as they adored the CTS, if not more so. They are happy with its comfortable interior and high-tech features throughout. They also like that it has a lot of power for a sedan when equipped with the V6.

CT5: $36,895 – $50,890

For an even more powerful sedan, you can get the CT5. This car is also available in multiple trim levels, including the V-Series. At that level, you get all the bells and whistles plus a truly beastly V6 engine.

In fact, both of the high-performance engine options are exclusive to this model. You can get either the 2.0L four cylinder or 3.0L V6. Both of which are hooked to a twin-scroll turbocharger that pumps out the horsepower on demand.

Its most impressive specs include:

  • Up to 360 horsepower
  • Up to 405 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes
  • 15-watt wireless charging
  • 10-inch touchscreen

Although the IIHS has not yet completed crash tests on the 2020 CT5, the NHTSA has. They gave it a perfect five stars overall. It did not score under five stars for any of the front, side, and rollover tests.

Owners simply adore this sporty sedan, especially since it boasts tons of luxury features to boot. Between its breathtakingly awesome performance and driver assist features, this car inspires true confidence behind the wheel. The three performance modes allow you to customize all your drives depending on if you’re in the mood for sport, travel, or something in between.
