NHTSA ID Number: 11163337

A customer complaint was filed for the 2008 Dodge Caliber, stating that the engine cradle in the vehicle had rusted out. The complaint did not list how many miles were on the vehicle when this incident occurred.

Customer Complaint: Rotted and Broken Engine Cradle

NHTSA ID Number: 10692407

One 2009 Dodge Caliber complaint mentions rotting in the engine cradle that had caused both of the front control arms and its sway bar bushings to break.

This issue required the engine cradle to be replaced and was said to have occurred when the vehicle had 86,000 miles on the odometer.

Customer Complaint: Corroded Engine Cradle

A customer complaint was filed for the 2010 Dodge Caliber, stating that a rusted-out engine cradle was causing the vehicle to vibrate loudly during operation. The complaint stated that the vehicle only had 11,009 miles on the odometer when this issue was discovered.
