Ready to make the move to an electric vehicle, but want all the bells and whistles that come with a luxury ride? The Audi e-tron might be the right fit for you. Before you head out for a test drive to see how this battery-powered beauty drives, be sure to take a look at how the vehicle depreciates over time so you understand how your investment will affect you over time.

Does the Audi e-tron hold its value?

The Audi e-tron will lose about 21% of its value over the first ten years (MSRP of $77,400 for both of the 2020 trim options). The premium plus sport and the prestige sport options both provide drivers with luxury features at the same price point.

While you’re in the midst of doing your research to decide whether the e-tron is the right fit for you, it’s important to consider how the value of your vehicle will change over time. Here, we’ll dig into how the e-tron depreciates compared to its competitors, what current drivers are saying about the e-tron, and how the trim models square off.

Does the Audi e-tron Hold Its Value?

E-tron drivers say that they love the car’s power, speed, and safety features, and that they’re impressed with the car’s reliability—meaning they’re not spending a fortune on costly repairs.

Here, we’ll take a look at two direct competitors of Audi and their depreciation over a 10-year period.

Jaguar I-Pace

  • Starting MSRP: $80,264
  • 10-year Retail: $16,759

Tesla Model X

  • Starting MSRP: $106,220
  • 10-year Retail:$19,959
