2020 Audi Q7 – Elegance Meets Performance

In 2005, Audi unveiled its new mid-size luxury SUV, the Audi Q7. This SUV, which has room for seven, was the first from the manufacturer. Today, Audi has the Q5 and Q3 as well, but the Q7 continues to lead the way for innovation and performance.

The first-generation Audi Q7 had a 10-year production span. It received high marks for safety from the NHTSA and was awarded Top Safety Pick status in 2009.

In 2015 Audi released the second generation, which includes the 2020 Audi Q7. This brought a plug-in hybrid to the line. In 2020, the Q7 received an upgraded style, including a new grille and revised exhaust tips.

Complaints and Recall for the 2020 Audi Q7

Though it hasn’t won any official awards yet, the 2020 Audi Q7 is considered highly reliable because it has few complaints and recalls. In fact, the NTHSA has recorded just one complaint and one recall for the SUV.

In May of 2020 one owner registered a complaint of hearing an abnormal noise from the passenger’s side rear of the vehicle when driving at a low speed. After hearing the noise, the owner reported the vehicle would not accelerate past 20 mph. A rear differential problem was found.

NHTSA recall 20V658000 applies to the 2020 Audi Q7. This recall states that some vehicles have insufficient padding on the C-pillar. If an occupant isn’t wearing a seat belt and hits this, the risk of serious head injury is high.
