From a bit more room for the kid’s sports gear to a massive, top-performing SUV, Chevrolet offers the model you need. The key is knowing which to buy. With seven Chevy SUV models on the market, it’s important to know all of the differences before you do.

Maybe you’re after a big SUV, one that can help you with up to nine people? You may want a sportier vehicle, an SUV with better fuel economy, too. The Chevy SUV models available offer something for everyone. Most impressively, there are numerous options. Let’s cover them here.

2020 Chevy SUV Models

Trailblazer: $19,000 – $27,995

The Chevy Trailblazer is the smallest offered by the manufacturer, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fully featured. It offers 54.4 cu. ft. of cargo space with several seat configurations available.

As the base model, it doesn’t have as many driver assist features as others, but it does come with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity, along with available navigation, good audio, and Bluetooth audio. It also features Alexa connectivity.

This is an all-wheel drive model (available on select trims) and features an EcoTec 1.6-L turbo engine. It has overall good suspension and handling and does well in most weather conditions.

Trax: $21,300 – $30,095

The Chevrolet Trax provides you with a bit more of a sporty feel, but there are some nice updates here, including the 1.4-L Turbocharged engine, which gets 138 horsepower. It also gets good fuel economy at 26 city/31 hwy mpg.

Inside you’ll find good materials (with upgradable options to leather) as well as the Infotainment 3 system with all of the connectivity you desire. With room for five and max cargo at 48.4 cu. ft., it has a bit more support for your daily needs.

The Redline Edition is a solution and offers the LT Convenience Package to give you an exterior and interior look that’s impressive.

Equinox: $23,800 – $36,895

The Chevy Equinox offers two engine options; a 1.5 turbo  4-cylinder is the base model, or you can choose a 2.0-L turbo 4-cylinder. Both engines produce ample power for daily use, but not much in the way of towing or overall speed.

The Equinox provides a max cargo of 63.9 cu. ft. with room for five people. It offers standard forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking, all as standard features. Upgrade for even more.

Blazer: $28,800 – $46,795

The Chevy Blazer starts to pack on the work with a maximum towing of 4,500 pounds. It also offers three engine options (the 3.6-L V6 gives you the most features at 308 horsepower), but you’ll get better fuel economy from the 2.5-L 4-cylinder with its 9-speed transmission.

The Blazer offers 64.2 cu. ft. of maximum cargo space and numerous ways to adjust the seats so you can pack it all in. Also, check out the available heated driver and front passenger seats on the higher trim models and more available advanced safety features.

Traverse: $29,800 – $54,395

The Chevy Traverse gives you a lot of luxury while also giving you some more room to work with – up to 98.2 cu. ft. of cargo space with various seat configuration options. It also offers room for up to eight people and maximum towing of 5,000 pounds.

With available 20-inch wheels, a beautifully contoured body, and some chrome accents, this car steps up the exterior looks. Instead, you can choose the available leather-appointed seats and the Dual SkyScape two-panel power sunroof if you like.

There’s ample safety tech here, including a standard rear vision camera, and available front pedestrian braking and forward collision alert. As for the engine, it’s got a kick in that 3.6-L V6 with the 9-speed automatic transmission.

Tahoe: $49,000 – $66,995

For most, the Tahoe is the ideal larger SUV, with a new body style for the 2020 model year. It also gives you more room with a max cargo up to 122.9 cu. ft. and room for eight people. It’s bigger and commands a presence, but it’s also more advanced.

Choose from six trim options, each offering an improvement in looks and comfort. The Z71 also gives you off-road capability with 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and four-corner air ride adaptive suspension.

Choose from three engines, with the 6.2-L Ecotec3 V8 providing the most horsepower at 420 and 460 lb.-ft. of torque.

There’s also a larger Chevrolet Infotainment system available with Alexa, Android, and Apple connectivity. It has an available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection option and a 15-inch Head-Up Display.

Suburban: $51,700 – $69,795

Big is best when it comes to SUVs, especially for those who need seating for up to nine people. That’s what the Suburban delivers with its feature-packed setup. It also delivers 144.7 cu. ft. of max cargo along with numerous ways to arrange the seats. The back legroom is excellent.

You get all of the connectivity on the Tahoe along with the Rear-Seat Media System (available, not standard), which provides a 12.6-inch LCD touchscreen for passengers to use.

Choose the 6.2-L Ecotec3 V8 engine here, too, which also offers Dynamic Fuel Management. Those Suburbans can have a rough ride, but the Magnetic Ride Control and four-corner air ride adaptive suspension system make that easier.
