To choose tires, you need more than manufacturer information and pricing. You also have to think about what’s right for your car’s long-term needs and the family that’s inside it. Picking the right tires is essential.

The best tires for the Dodge Grand Caravan depend on a few key things. First, where you live and the year-long weather conditions matter. The type, amount, and way you drive also play a role in that decision process. What are the Dodge Caravan best tires for you?

Touring – $159.99/Tire

Many people upgrade to touring tires. These tires provide a higher level of focused performance and may provide you with a more comfortable ride. They are okay in most types of weather overall but are not always the best choice for all drivers.

They cost more, but these tires can significantly improve the comfort of your ride. They help to smooth it out, minimize uneven surfaces well, and give you better handling, especially around corners. You’ll notice this right away if you buy a quality set of tires.

It’s also important to look for the type of touring tires. Grand Touring tends to be the better of the options because they offer better tread life and more all-round traction during wet weather. Other options exist as well.

Customers report good overall performance most of the time. In some cases, they didn’t recognize a difference from their standard tires. Others say their touring tires make their ride much smoother overall.

Performance – $104.99/Tire

Performance tires tend to be just a bit above your standard all-season tire, but that’s just fine for many Caravan owners. These tires are better at handling than your base model, and they typically offer better overall traction than touring tires.

These are a bit better in terms of pricing for most Caravan drivers, but be careful when it comes to choosing quality. Inferior products simply do not perform as well and are not worth the extra you spend on them.

A few things to know about performance tires can make the difference. These should have lateral grooves on them, which helps to amplify their performance overall. You will also find these tires have higher speed ratings, which is good for those who drive often.

Customer reviews for performance tires are mixed. Some note they wear down too soon. Other product reviews rave about the improved traction over their all-season basic models. The key here is to find what works for your needs and budget.

All-Terrain – $212.41/Tire

Most people driving a minivan are not going to take it out for an off-road adventure. Nevertheless, you can buy all-terrain tires for your Caravan. These tires are designed with an aggressive tread design. That helps to improve their overall performance.

All-terrain tires can be suitable for many Caravan owners. That includes those who often drive on gravel or dirt roads at home or at work. These tires also offer a lot of support when you need to move across uneven surfaces for any reason.

The aggressive look of these tires is important because it often defines how well they perform. It is always worth buying quality tires if you need all-terrain. If you have specific tasks, look for those rated for sand or light mud or even extreme conditions, if you have them.

Customer reviews of all-terrain tires range widely. Choose quality to make your investment actually worthwhile. Look for tread design, overall warranties, and life span – these are all areas of concern for many drivers.

Winter/Snow – $136.79/Tire

What most Caravan drivers will appreciate is having access to winter tires. These tires will get you through the snow to and from school or practice with ease, even if it is coming down hard and fast. Winter tires are designed to push through it rather than get stuck in it.

They do this by having a much wider gap and groove system between the treads on the tire. You’ll also notice they are designed with higher-quality materials, which keep responding well even when the temperatures dip.

You may benefit from snow tires, but it’s not always necessary (or even beneficial) to go with studded models. These can help when the snow is deep and compact, but for most people, they are loud, hard to use, damaging, and, in some areas, illegal.

Customers who buy snow tires often talk about their overall styling but rave about their ability to get out of the snowdrift to make it to work on time. Others note their good-quality snow tires feel firm on dry services. These tires are also designed to last as well.

People Also Ask

Finding the Dodge Caravan best tires for you is one step. You also need answers to some of your most frequently asked questions like these.

Does the 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan come with a spare tire?

No, most Caravans do not come with a spare tire. This may be an optional upgrade that you get on some trims, but it is not readily available.

Instead, they come with a tire repair kit. This small kit allows you to patch the hole in your tire, so you can drive to the repair shop for thorough repairs. You should not drive on a tire repaired like this for long.

What’s the recommended tire pressure for a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan?

For most Caravans, you’ll need to maintain both front and back tire pressure at 36 psi. This is accurate as long as the tires are based on the same size as the original equipment tire size.

How do you reset the tire pressure indicator on a 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Your first step is to ensure your tires are filled properly to the recommended psi. Do this while the car is off. Once you do this, turn on the car and drive it. The indicator will turn off after 10 to 20 miles of driving at 25 mph or more.

You may have a reset button for your TPMS. If available, it is located near the steering wheel. Press and hold until it blinks three times before it turns off. If you do not have one, it can only be reset by pulling the battery or turning to the dealership.

Recently bought Dodge Grand Caravan 2018 GT at 61,000 KM ODO. This is the first American car I've ever had. The transmission shifts on downward slope can get reasonably noticeable. There was a need to replace the front drive axels as there was vibration coming through them. I'm not really impressed with this Amerian brand vehicle. It's just that I needed a minivan in my budget. I think Korean cars are more reliable with easily diagnoseable problems. Finally, the dealership provided new UNIROYAL Tiger Paw series tires. But soon we found out the tire vibrates/bubbles at a speed of between 80 - 120 KM/h. So I would recommend not to use this tire brand on this vehicle.
