Red 2017 Dodge Viper From Front-Driver Side

Forget about your Hellcats and Demons. Before all of that high-powered fare, there was the Dodge Viper. From 1991 to 2017, the braggadocious two-seat roadster and the later coupe inspired a mix of fear, dread and admiration from all corners, all thanks to its outrageous styling and glorious V10 engine.

What is the price of a 2017 Dodge Viper?

The 2017 Dodge Viper’s MSRP ranges between $87,895 for a base SRT to $118,795 for an ACR.

The Dodge Viper is one expensive beast, which isn’t surprising given its blistering performance and eye-popping looks. We’ll dive deep into what makes the snake-on-wheels such a pricey buy.

The SRT Trim

Starting at a comparatively modest MSRP of $87,895, the SRT represents the base trim for the Dodge Viper. For the money, you’ll get automatic climate control, a 12-speaker audio system and an 8.4-inch touch screen display with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

There are plenty of add-ons to make the 2017 Dodge Viper a bit meaner and more unique. The $16,000 TA 1.0 Package does just that by adding a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a Time Attack suspension and a host of other goodies.

The $17,000 TA 2.0 Package takes all of the Ta 1.0 features and adds a front splitter, lower dive planes and a TA Aero Wing Assembly Kit. The latter requires post-purchase assembly, so buyer beware if you choose a Viper equipped with this package.

The GT Trim

The 2017 Dodge Viper GT shares the same $87,895 MSRP with the SRT trim mentioned above, but you’ll get a few options that help set it apart from the basic SRT.

These features include a 2-mode performance suspension setup with a 5-mode stability control system. You’ll also get a different carbon-fiber hood and leather interior, among a host of other minor changes.

The GTC Trim

At a $95,895 MSRP, the GTC trim lands squarely in the middle of the 2017 Viper’s nest. The GTC shares many of the features found in the lower GT trim as well as the higher GTS trim. What makes this trim unique is the sheer number of packages available:

  • GTS Laguna Interior Package ($2,500)
  • ACR Interior Package ($6,000)
  • GTS Interior Package ($8,500)
  • Anodized Carbon Package ($13,900)
  • ACR Package ($19,000)

The GTS Trim

Consider the GTS as the “luxury” trim for the 2017 Dodge Viper. Yes, there is a luxury variant out there with all of the usual high-end touches, but you’ll get anything but a Brougham-like experience when you’re behind the wheel.

For a steep $107,995, you’ll get an interior done up in full Laguna Nappa leather and seats with Alcantara inserts. StopTech 2-piece brake rotors with red-painted calipers handle the braking, while an upgraded 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system handles the jams.

An extra $8,200 gets you the Ceramic Blue Sport Package, which adds staggered 18-inch and 19-inch 5-spoke wheels finished in Black Vapor, along with GTS gloss black badging, rear carbon fiber applique, orange brake calipers and a long list of other cosmetic features.

The ACR Trim

If you’re looking for a Dodge Viper that’s ready for the track, the ACR is the one to choose. Listed at an MSRP of $118,795, the ACR ditches most of the Viper’s sound insulation, uses lighter carpet and sports lighter 19-inch wheels in the name of weight reduction.

The ACR also gets a stiffer, manually-adjustable suspension, carbon-ceramic brake rotors and carbon fiber exterior treatments. Some of the ACR’s other options include:

  • Exterior Carbon Fiber Package ($5,100)
  • Extreme Aero Package ($6,900)

Feeling Snake-Bitten Yet?

There’s no denying that the Dodge Viper is one wild ride, making it well worth the cost for avid fans. A quick Vehicle History check can help you avoid any unexpected pitfalls before you finalize your vehicle purchase.
