- Side crash test
- Roof strength
- Head restraints and seats
The LED reflector headlights with high-beam assist on the Touring trim, Elite trim, and Black Edition trim received a rating of “Good.” The LED projector low-beam headlights and halogen reflector high-beam headlights with high-beam assist on the LX, EX, EX-L, and Special Edition trim levels received an “Acceptable” rating.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Test/Results
The 2021 Honda Pilot received a four-star overall rating for the frontal crash test, with the front driver’s side receiving five stars and the front passenger’s side receiving four stars.
Overall, the NHTSA rated the Pilot with five stars for the side crash tests. The front and rear seat received five stars for the overall side barrier and pole ratings, with the front seat receiving five stars and the rear seat receiving five stars.

The 2021 Honda Pilot comes with an impressive list of safety tech – even the base model. The following features are standard on all six trim levels:
