History of the Nissan Rogue
Entering the market with the 2008 model year, the Nissan Rogue began its third generation with the 2021 model year. Debuting at the North American International Auto Show on January 7, 2007 in Detroit, the Rogue was initially available in both front- and all-wheel drive with a 2.5L inline-four engine.
A 2011 update saw redesigned dash gauges, center dash and exterior spoilers, grille and front fascia. Chrome accents were added, along with new tire deflectors and under-body cover. The 2012 model also saw the addition of a sport mode to the CVT transmission and the Around-View monitor for the SL.
The second generation introduced with the 2014 model year added an optional third-row seat, standard four-wheel independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels.
