The 2022 Nissan Versa, America’s best-selling vehicle in its class, has been named to U.S. News & World Report‘s annual “Best Cars for the Money” list as the top car choice in the subcompact car category.

The vehicles selected for the awards are determined based on safety and reliability data, as well as the collective opinion of the automotive press on a given model’s performance and interior and how strongly each reviewer recommends the car. A vehicle’s value is measured by looking at each model’s real-time transaction prices and five-year total cost of ownership data.

“It’s getting more and more difficult to find a quality subcompact car, but the Nissan Versa delivers all of the attributes needed to win our Best Subcompact Car for the Money award,” said Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News’ “Best Cars” section. “The Versa sits at the top of our rankings, with great fuel economy, ample cargo space and a well-built interior. It’s also competitively priced, and low ownership costs make the Versa a strong value over the long haul.”

Design is another key strategic advantage for the 2022 Versa, combining a dramatic and expressive exterior with a fresh, roomy interior with best-in-class front headroom and front legroom complemented by class-above features and quality.
