Overview of the RAM 1500 Rebel TRX

The RAM Rebel TRX, or officially the RAM TRX, is a new vehicle designed for the 2021 model year. That vehicle replaces the RAM Rebel, a vehicle first designed in 2015.

Both vehicles are trim packages for the RAM 1500, one of the hardest working full-size pickup trucks. The RAM 1500 sold 633,694 vehicles in the 2019 model year in the U.S.

The 2021 model, which is often called the RAM 1500 Rebel TRX, even though branding dropped the Rebel portion upon release, has a lot to offer. It offers some of the most powerful performance features in its class.

RAM’s 1500 lineup is one of the most popular, though there are several heavy-duty versions available as well. It’s been produced since 1980 by Chrysler. It’s currently in its fifth generation.

The latest model in the TRX brings with it a lot of changes. The prototype for this vehicle included incredible styling, including 37-inch tires and five-inch side exhaust integrated into the rock rails and skid plates. A lot changed from that initial prototype, but this vehicle still has much to offer.

Performance Features and Specs of the RAM 1500 Rebel TRX

As the brand’s newest release, the RAM 1500 TRX has a lot of power and performance behind it. It was designed to be a half-ton pickup built to work but also to be driven with style. While it is a street vehicle, it’s also billed as an exceptional off-roading experience. That’s easy to see when you consider its specs.

The vehicle features a Supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 engine. That’s one of the most powerful in its class. This engine produces 702 horsepower and 650 lb/ft of torque. It can pull and manage anything, almost. At the same time, it can get to 60 miles per hour in just 4.5 seconds.

The engine is loud (and that’s just what some drivers want). It’s a twin-screw supercharger that creates fast torque and has a maximum speed of 14,600 RPMs. It can regulate boost pressure up to 11.0 psi – which is top in its class. It also has a high-performance air induction system that consumes up to 32.9 liters of air each minute.

What’s more, the vehicle goes further. It offers drivers a suite of customizable performance and off-road options. This can help to ensure the vehicle fits your specific driving needs.

These are all integrated into the vehicle’s digital cluster, which just so happens to have a massive 12-inch touchscreen. Drivers can choose Launch Control with Launch Assist to help regulate engine RPMs. This gives it the fastest acceleration possible.

There’s even more. The vehicle has 8 driving moles plus Valet. It has a flat-bottom steering wheel that has integrated aluminum shift paddles with a carbon fiber and Alcantara suede accent. All of this comes with 12,570 pounds of towing capacity.  You’re not going to get super fuel efficiency, of course.

The EPA offers an estimated 17 combined city/highway miles per gallon.
