It is has a lot of room for a small family, it is very reliable it is a great car for gas. It has a better braking system and also it has a more powerful base engine. The 2016 Honda Civic handles great in all driving situations. When tackling a curvy road, the car's body remains stable and controlled. The only con is that car needs to be a little faster. When combined with the standard six-speed manual transmission, the base Civic earns a respectable 27 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. I like the way it drives. I like the size as well. It is very maneuverable which is great for driving in New York as the space is always tight. Also it was very affordable and the insurance was not very high on it either.

It is not the most luxurious car. Mine is not fully loaded so it has a lot features that are missing which I would have loved in my car. Also the shape of it not something that stands in a crowd. I wish it was a bit more unique looking.

See previous statement and comment. I do not particularly like the interior color black and would like something a little lighter, grey/gray would work for me and my family. The Continental tires are rough and noisy at highway speeds.

I like the way the car handles, both in the city and on the road. The steering and suspension are very tight, which makes it easy for me to tell where I am on the road. The seating of the car also 'fits' me, since I am 5' 2' tall and cannot see out of some vehicles. I also like the car's computer and dashboard screen which provide information about mileage, fuel level, and other details of how the car is running.

The car arrived with some problems that appeared to come from the factory. The doors (car is a 2-door) were both improperly torqued at the factory. After four attempts by the dealer to repair this, the passenger side door works to a certain extent. The driver's side door either collapses on to my leg when I open the door, or it flies open and sometimes hits the car next to it. There were also several computer failures related to the shift assembly and transmission. I believe the car has had four recalls serviced to date.

I know as a VW owner that repairs and parts are expensive if it should come to that. The package we selected is missing a few conveniences that would have been nice (power seats). I also am not crazy about the keyless starter.

Oil changes and other maintenance are costly, as is the case with most German engineering. But I have found that the cost of upkeep is well worth it as you get a good roi on the investment. I also am slightly disappointed in the quality of some of my interior trim that began peeling. To repair this, I would need to replace the entire piece.
