It is very spacious and offers a good and controlled driver with all wheel drive. The safety features on the car are really good there is an automated emergency brake system and a system that lets you when you diverge from a lane and everything, which is very helpful.
Sometimes the rear door gets stuck and does not open, but that is an easy fix. It does not let you open the trunk with the key fob or the inside button. When that happens I have had to go to the dealerships or just make sure the hold button is in the right position.
The forester is AWD so good in snowy and rainy conditions. It is also good on gas. The safety ratings are also good. Design is nice and simple and the ride is nice and smooth. Sound system is good. Panoramic sunroof is a nice feature.
Because of Subaru's quality there was no negotiation room on the purchase price. The helpful features such as brake assist are annoying at times. If you do not want the eco mode on you have to turn it off EVERY TIME you get in the car.
It has 4 wheel drive. A clear back up camera. Durable Leather seats. The Sunroof is very nice. I also really love the smooth drivetrain. It is a great car for dogs and for my new child. A great family friendly car!
The cons of the vehicle are that sometimes it is hard to clean. Other than that this vehicle does not have any other cons that I can think of. I have had it for a year and it has been a great vehicle for our family.
It really is an upgrade from Subaru's lineup even just a few years ago. The Forester is the perfect size--not too big, but not too small, with a little extra height to make things easier--and the perfect amount of power to deal with weather conditions in all four seasons. Your commute will be comfy because this trim comes with every upgrade that you didn't think you needed but then immediately could no longer live without. I use the app on an almost daily basis to turn my car on remotely and set the climate controls to the perfect temperature. It has all of the bells and whistles that you actually need and use.
The sensors are temperamental, and you never know if the automatic braking is going to have a bad day and slam on the breaks on the highway because a leaf looked at it funny. Sometimes, all of the electronic systems make it nearly impossible to diagnose or treat a straightforward problem. My battery has already died once in the first three months of ownership. I cannot imagine that these electronic systems and sensors are going to age well.
I love the size and the cargo space it gives you. Very comfortable ride quality and also gets very decent fuel economy. The high ride height is also a bonus for short and tall people too. Enough space for all my family and friends to ride in.
Interior plastics, Bland design and some electrical glitches is really troublesome. I also do not like the fact that this SUV do not give you all the standard safety features like some of the competition does. Also the overall cost to maintain it.
The pros are, provides a smooth ride and comfortable seating for long trips. It has a backup camera and good engine power, which are nice features. The Equinox has split second row seating to allow adjustment, to fit cargo. It comes with remote start.
The cons to the Equinox LS are, it does not have back seat temperature control. The back seat passenger is always too hot or too cold. This model does not come standard with built in GPS, maps. It is very hard to see out of the rear window at night, when backing up, you have to rely on the backup camera to see.
It is reliable and there is a vent for a/c and heat in the back seats. There is plenty of room in the trunk. It is the smoothest, quietest car I have ever ridden in or driven. Also, I like the super wide windshield. There is plenty of legroom and the cup holders and consoles offer ample space.
The car shuts off if you do not leave the heat or a/c running at full blast. This is very inconvenient in the winter when I need to warm my car up before driving it. For the price that I paid I wish the car would have come with rubber floor mats. I had to pay separately for them. The car shuts off when I am at a red light. That is crazy! The 'infotainment' system is temperamental and difficult to use.
Reliable, comfortable, good gas mileage rear view camera excellent. Service dept at local dealer(Schultz Auto) excellent. Windshield has good viewing. Interior is attractive and easy to maintain. Rear seat air condition and heat vent.
Trunk space is small, fenders held on with plastic tabs. Back seat is not movable, So far that is all of the cons I can think of. This vehicle is my fourth Eq Equinox and I have been very happy with all of purchases.
