It is very spacious and offers a good and controlled driver with all wheel drive. The safety features on the car are really good there is an automated emergency brake system and a system that lets you when you diverge from a lane and everything, which is very helpful.
Sometimes the rear door gets stuck and does not open, but that is an easy fix. It does not let you open the trunk with the key fob or the inside button. When that happens I have had to go to the dealerships or just make sure the hold button is in the right position.
The forester is AWD so good in snowy and rainy conditions. It is also good on gas. The safety ratings are also good. Design is nice and simple and the ride is nice and smooth. Sound system is good. Panoramic sunroof is a nice feature.
Because of Subaru's quality there was no negotiation room on the purchase price. The helpful features such as brake assist are annoying at times. If you do not want the eco mode on you have to turn it off EVERY TIME you get in the car.
It has 4 wheel drive. A clear back up camera. Durable Leather seats. The Sunroof is very nice. I also really love the smooth drivetrain. It is a great car for dogs and for my new child. A great family friendly car!
The cons of the vehicle are that sometimes it is hard to clean. Other than that this vehicle does not have any other cons that I can think of. I have had it for a year and it has been a great vehicle for our family.
It really is an upgrade from Subaru's lineup even just a few years ago. The Forester is the perfect size--not too big, but not too small, with a little extra height to make things easier--and the perfect amount of power to deal with weather conditions in all four seasons. Your commute will be comfy because this trim comes with every upgrade that you didn't think you needed but then immediately could no longer live without. I use the app on an almost daily basis to turn my car on remotely and set the climate controls to the perfect temperature. It has all of the bells and whistles that you actually need and use.
The sensors are temperamental, and you never know if the automatic braking is going to have a bad day and slam on the breaks on the highway because a leaf looked at it funny. Sometimes, all of the electronic systems make it nearly impossible to diagnose or treat a straightforward problem. My battery has already died once in the first three months of ownership. I cannot imagine that these electronic systems and sensors are going to age well.
All Wheel Drive for safe winter driving, Backup Camera, Extra trunk space, I love the look of being able to hid things underneath the trunk. There is a sleek look both exterior and interior of vehicle.
The gas mileage is not the best. The backseat could be more spacious when it comes to car seats and booster seats. It is a very common vehicle so if you are looking to have a vehicle that stands out this is not the one.
The vehicle is spacious and good on gas mileage. I can easily reach back if needed for my little one as well. The trunk space is great. The interior is not extremely hard to clean. I love the metallic outside color also.
The price was steeper than I anticipated. I wish I had shopped around more. I have had to have a recall fixed already for the back up camera. There is no sensor on the back up camera either and I was not made aware of that. I would have opted for a vehicle with a sensor.
The main pro of my car is the safety features, driving the car has many different things set in place to make sure I do not crash. The gas mileage is also decent. As well the car handles well in the elements which was something missing in previous cars that I owned.
I would have to say the main con is I feel as if I didn't get all of the features that I wanted. I would have loved to have leather seats and sunroof, but I do not have them in this current model. I do believe that the car is very safe and the pros tend to outweigh the cons that I feel about this car. Another con would be that the windows are not all automatic.
Pros good on gas, spacious interior, smooth ride. Really great handling and the heated seats are a nice touch. One of my favorite features is the roof rack it provides a great place to put extra luggage or your skis if you are going on a trip.
There are very few cons with this vehicle. One that I have noticed is the small truck space. It is more like a hatchback then and actual trunk. Another con would be that the air conditioning has a strange temperature range. 60-80 Freezing 80-90 burning hot.
