The 2003 Nissan Pathfinder has a 3.5 L V6 engine that needS5.3 quarts of oil with a filter. The type that is recommended for the Pathfinder is SAE 5W-30 in all temperatures. It should be changed out every 7,500 miles or every 3,750 miles if driven in more extreme conditions like areas with lots of dust, hot temperatures or if towing a lot. The cost of a change is anywhere from $20 to $30 in labor costs. It is extremely easy to do an oil change and You can be done in less than 15 minutes. The tools needed for a change are a 10mm wrench, 14mm wrench, 10mm socket, oil filter wrench, ratchet, socket extensions and a drain pan.
