The Mitsubishi suggests that the 5w-20 engine oil be used for all 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander trim levels including the es, se, xls and gt. For the xls and gt versions. The oil capacity iS4.2 quarts (4.0 liters) for us and 4.5 quarts (4.3 liters) for the es and se models as stated by the manufacturer. You should replace the engine oil and filter every 3000 - 5000 to ensure Your engine is at its peak performance. Not changing the oil causes the oil to lose its viscosity and will not properly lubricate the internal parts of the engine such as the pistons and cylinders. The price for oil will range from $5 - $10 per quart depending on if its conventional or synthetic and the brand/quality of the oil.
