Ford recommends that all their vehicles use motor oils that meet the API certification standard. For the 2013 Mustang in particular, they recommend using the sae 5w-20 synthetic motor oil, as it happens to be one of the best oils in that viscosity category. Its oil capacity, by virtue of itS3.7L engine, is a maximum of 6 quarts. Its preferred that You use a fully synthetic motor oil, as Ford vehicles generally take to it a little better. Great manufacturers include Motorcraft and Castrol. If Youd like, You may also use a semi-synthetic oil. That being said, the fully synthetic oil favors optimal performance, and adds a great degree of protection to Your engine. It also helps efficiency and longevity, and is a great choice for the 2013 Mustang.
