The 2014 Buick Encore came standard with a 1.4 L 4Cylinder engine and Buick made no options available for any other motor for this vehicle. This engine will have a capacity of 4.2 US quarts when the filter is included. You will need to use 5W-30 synthetic unless You live in a freezing climate then You'll need to use 0W-30. The cost for fluids will be cheap since it has such a low capacity. If You want to do the oil change Yourself it shouldn't cost more than $25. If You want to take it in to a shop the cost will range between $90 and $120.

The best oil type for 2014 Buick Encore is SAE 5W-30. In areas of extreme cold, where the temperature falls below−29°C (−20°F), an SAE 0W-30 oil may be used. The engine oil capacity is 4.2 quarts (4.0 Liters).
