The change oil light in Your 2018 Ford EcoSport is there to remind You that the oil and filter need to be changed. It will come on every 7,500- 10,000 miles or 12 months whichever of the two You hit first. If You have Ford or another authorised service center do the service they will reset the light for You but if You do it Yourself You will need to follow the steps below so the system can accurately track the mileage and time on Your current oil. First, You will need to turn the ignition on without starting the engine. With the ignition on You will then need to depress, at the same time, the brake and gas pedal fully. Hold both pedals down for roughly 3 seconds until a message appears telling You that a reset is happening. Once the message tells You the process is complete, You can release the pedals and turn off the ignition.

Nope. Turn on the ignition, the smart buttons on the left side of steering wheel scroll down to the picture of the car. Press the right smart button (or whatever you want to call it), press ok on information and oil life will pop up. Press ok again and it will have reset oil life. Press ok / hold down while it resets. Done.

First thing will be to turn the ignition on to position two. If it has a start button, then hold it down for two seconds. For the next twenty seconds you need to simultaneously press the accelerator and brake pedals. You will hold it until a service: oil reset in progress shows on the instrument display. You should continue to hold down both pedals until the message changes to service: oil reset complete.
