The oil change light on Your 2018 Nissan Kicks needs to be reset after every oil change so that the system can determine when the next oil change is due. If You don't reset the light, You will find that Your vehicle will indicate that You need another oil change sooner than would be necessary. The procedure only takes a few moments. First, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine and then use the navigation buttons on Your steering wheel to select "Settings"on Your display. Scroll to "Maintenance" and select it and then scroll to "Oil And Filter." From here, You can change the time and distance for the next maintenance period and You can also reset the oil change light. You have completed the procedure and You can turn Your ignition off.

The first thing you do is turn the ignition on, but don't start the engine. Using the navigation buttons on your steering wheel, go to settings in the on the multi-information display. Once there, scroll down until you find maintenance. Once there , you will select oil and filters. There you will be able to reset the light or customize the distance before it comes back on.
