To reset the change oil light on the 2018 Ram ProMaster You will need to change the oil. Otherwise, it will keep coming back on. When performing an oil change on the car You will first want to make sure that the vehicle has been parked and off for a couple of hours. Otherwise, the oil in the car will be very hot and You could burn Yourself. Find the oil pan in the engine compartment and locate the drain plug on the underside. Position a bucket under the plug and then remove it. This will allow the oil to drain into the pan. Let it do this until it stops dripping, which may take an hour or so. After it has finished dripping You can put the drain plug back on, then locate the intake port on the top of the oil pan. Using a funnel fill the oil pan to full, but make sure to not overfill. A little under is fine, but going over can lead to leaks and oil burn off. Once it is full close the port up, wipe up any spilt oil and You will be finished.

To reset the the change oil light on the dash of a 2013 to 2018 model year ram promaster-city simply sit in the driver's seat. Then turn the key to the on position without starting the car. Then fully depress the gas pedal 3 times within 10 seconds. Then turn the key to the off position. The next time you star the vehicle the light will be reset.

On a 2018 ram promaster-city the change oil light can be reset by first putting the ignition key in the on position without starting the engine. Then slowly pressing the accelerator pedal all the way down and releasing it three times. Finally you will turn the ignition back off.
