Whether the Jeep Wrangler is good for a road trip or not depends a little bit on the model year, the trim, and how many people You're going to cRam into it. Jeeps have gotten a lot more comfortable over the years, but You'll want to make sure You're driving one with the longer wheel base. Gas mileage is pretty decent now-a-days as well. Current Wranglers have pretty decent storage space, but sometimes this is going to be on the roof rack, which might be an issue depending on where You're going. You'll have pretty decent power and reliability, of course, but not all Jeeps are as performant in the mud. Of course, the Wrangler's got a pretty good towing and payload capacity, so You'll likely be helping someone else who tried off-roading and got stuck. Basically, though, if You're planning on juSTSticking to the highways, You should consider a compact SUV instead, for better mileage. If Your road trip's going to be where the roads turn to dirt and disappear altogether, the Wrangler should be in Your consideration.
