The 2017 Chevy Cruze does comes standard with a backup camera If the camera is not working then there are three common reasons why. The first is that the camera has been damaged by road debris and will need to be repaired. The second is that the wire that powers it is bad. Finally, and most commonly, the fuse that powers the system may have burnout. The fuse box is to the left of the steering wheel, under a panel that can be removed. Look for the seam. Fuses are cheap and easy to fix, so You should be able to do it for about 10 to 15 dollars.

Built in dash cameras are an asset to decrease liability while driving as you may record any accident that you are involved in. This feature is available as an aftermarket add on if you are interested in having one. The Cruze is not equipped with this feature at any trim level from the factory.
