Does the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe have a timing belt or chain?

The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with a timing chain on the engine instead of a timing belt to keep the cam gears in time. This is better in my opinion than a belt because it does not need to be replaced. Usually the most expensive piece of regular maintenance on Your car will be a timing belt replacement, and that needs to be done every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. A timing chain on the other hand should be good for over 300,000 miles. I recommend that You still check Your timing chain at least once a year to make sure that it is not loose and it is free from damage.
