The Ford Transits iteration housing the 3.7L engine has in the past displayed engine problems. In fact, users report that a number of 2016 Transits have suddenly shut themselves off, as they lost all power to their engines. According to Ford, this was because of body throttle problems that were part of the design and structure of the car.
