The Ford Transit Connect does have all wheel drive. Having great steering is important for changing lanes and moving about on the road. You will eventually come across some problems though. Steering fluid can leak at one point. It may turn to one side. The steering wheel can become stuck. The strut bearings could become bad. The rack mount could become faulty. The steering pump might become loose and that will be disaster for Your vehicle. The power steering fluid needs to be replaced every 75,000 miles. Along with changing fluids, You will hear noises from steering parts. A faulty bearing will make a nasty sound. A loose bearing will become irritable to the ear.

All Wheel Drive in the US? May 5, 2021
The Transit Connect does not have any All Wheel Drive options on Ford.com. I have owned a Transit Connect and a regular Transit. The Transit (large van style)has a AWD drive option, however the Transit Connect (the shorter style) does not. I have called 20 dealerships and they can not find any. The Ford website does not allow you to customize one with AWD. So I do not know where people are saying that they have seen an AWD Transit Connect cause there aren’t any in the US.

The Ford Transit Connect Wagon Titanium with a short wheel base (SWB) and long wheel base (LWB) have front wheel drivetrains for 2018. Their Cargo XL w/ rear 180° door SWB and LWB are front wheel drive vans, too. The Transit Connect Wagon XL rear 180° door LWB and Wagon XL w/ rear liftgate LWB are front wheel drive. All of the rest of the 2018 Transit Connect vans, the Cargo XL w/ rear liftgate SWB and LWB, the Wagon and Cargo XLT rear 180° door SWB and LWB, the Wagon and Cargo XLT w/ rear liftgate SWB and LWB, are front wheel drive vehicles as well.
