The Toyota Celica has timing chain on it instead of a timing belt. The timing chain is lubricated from the oil inside the engine and lasts a much longer time than a timing belt, which is situated outside the engine and dries out pretty easily in a very short amount of time. The timing chain is usually considered as a better option by some manufacturers. The timing chain is generally replaced after every 80,000 to 120,000 miles. In some rare cases, they may need to be changed earlier than usual if theres a problem with it. However, in a lot of cases they will not need to be changed for the life of the vehicle.

The 2005 Toyota Celica has a timing chain, not a timing belt.
