To turn off the traction control on a Ford Transit simply press and hold the VSC button for three seconds. You may want to turn it off if You are traveling up a steep icy hill, or when trying to get unstuck from snow/mud. When attempting to travel through deep snow or mud, reduced power may end up in the vehicle getting stuck. Traction control is a computer-controlled system on Your vehicle that monitors wheel slippage. If it detects one wheel is spinning faster than the others, the system will automatically apply the ABS to that wheel or it will cut engine power to that wheel.
