The 2017 Ford Explorer has a seatbelt alarm that will chime whenever the seatbelt is not buckled. If You find this system annoying You can disable it by following a few steps. First You will need to put Your vehicle in the on position with the engine off. After that You will need to wait until the seatbelt warning light turns off on the dash. Next You will need to buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt three times ending when it is unbuckled. This will make the chime turn off so that it does not remind You to buckle the belt. It is still a good idea to always wear a seatbelt for Your safety while driving.

Try turning the key but do not start it. Wait one minute until the seat belt warning light goes off. Then wait 5 more seconds. Buckle and unbuckle the belt three times and ending in an unbuckle position. Then buckle and unbuckle again.
