How do I open 2017 chevy cruze hood?

To open the hood on the 2016-2019 Chevrolet Cruze, all You have to do is pull the hood lever on the kickplate of the drivers side, right next to the door. If You pull it once, it will release the hood with the safety lock still engaged (so the hood cant fly up), but if You pull the lever twice, it will disengage the lock entirely so You can pull the hood open the rest of the way with Your hand. Once You open the hood, You need to lift and set the hood kickstand in order to keep it up and open - otherwise it will stay down.
