As the driver of a Chevy Bolt, You might find Yourself unable to access Your trunk with a dead car battery. You can override this problem manually in just a few simple steps. First, go to the front of You car, and pop open the hood. Next, locate the 12 volt battery terminal in the engine bay. You can use this low-powered terminal to hook up and charge Your battery. Once the charge is complete, You should now be able to return to Your trunk, and using the buttons on Your remote keyless fob, open the hatch.
There is no key lost in the trunk of a chevy volt... D'uh!

If your battery is dead in your chevy volt you will need to use the key to unlatch the trunk from the key slot on the trunk.
