When You have the oil changed in Your 2012 Porsche Panamera usually the mechanic shop or the dealership will reset the oil light for You as part of the service. If they forgot or You are doing the oil change Yourself then You may need to reset it on Your own. With Porsche vehicles there is not a simple way to reset the light on the vehicle. You will need to use a dealership level scan tool on the vehicle to be able to reset it. You need to connect the device to the OBD II port in Your car and then You can read and reset the code in the computer and that is the only way that You can turn the light off.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2012 porsche panamera turn your ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and oil light should indicate a reset.
