The oil change light on Your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 needs to be reset after every oil change so that the system can determine when the next oil change is due. If You don't reset the light, You will find that Your vehicle will indicate that You need another oil change sooner than would be necessary. The procedure only takes a few moments. First, turn the ignition on but don't start the engine. Now, slowly press the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. After doing this, You will notice that the oil light will flash and then it will be reset. You have completed the procedure and You can turn Your ignition off.

To turn the 2015 chevy silverado 1500's oil light, turn your key to the on position and depress the accelerator down three times within 5 second intervals until the light flashes and then turns off. Turn your key off and the system should be reset.
