Resetting the oil life light in a 2016 Honda CR-V is a simple process that takes only a few minutes to do. To being, park the vehicle and keep all doors closed. Turn the key in the ignition to ON, but don't start up the engine. Owners with a push button start will need to press it two times without applying pressure to the brake pedal. Locate the MENU button in the left cluster of controls on the steering wheel and press it. Use the + button on the steering wheel to find VEHICLE INFORMATION. Select that menu by pressing the SOURCE button. Next, scroll to find MAINTENANCE INFO, and press SOURCE. When You see OIL LIFE show up on the display, press SOURCE again. This will start the reset mode. You should see this verified in the display. Select YES to confirm when a message shows up on the display and then press SOURCE to reset the item selected. Turn the ignition off and then start the vehicle to make sure the reset has been saved and the light is off.

The procedure on a 2016 honda crv to reset the oil life light switches the ignition to "run" mode. To view "vehicle settings" press the up and down arrows and press "sel / reset" button. Click the arrows up and down before "maintenance reset" shows up. Click the "sel / reset" button, and the reset mode for oil life will appear. To pick "delete," use the up and down arrows, and press the "sel / reset button. The show will disappear and the life of the oil will be reset to 100%.
