A common problem is an awful burning odor. This needs to be viewed closely as soon as possible or the car might explode. Old or bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. Knocking noise may arise from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage.

Once the car is fully started. Use the left/right directional keys to find the oil life percentage panel. When on that screen, hold down the center check button until the oil life resets to 100 percent.

Turn the ignition on but don't start the engine. Press the accelerator to the floor 3 times in 5 seconds. The oil light will flash and reset.
