The firSTStep for resetting the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) in a BMW Z4 is to locate the tire placard, which should be on the inside of the door frame. This will tell You the suggested pressure for each tire. Park the vehicle, and fill all tires to the recommended amount. Turn the ignition to RUN without starting the engine. Select Vehicle Info or Settings using the iDrive controller. Choose Vehicle Status or Vehicle/Tires and then select Perform Reset, Reset TPM, or TPM, depending on Your model year. Start the engine of the vehicle, and select Reset followed by Yes. Press the media control, which is in the center console and drive the vehicle over 25 miles per hour for at least 10 minutes. This gives the system time to receive readings from all four sensors.

To reset the TPMS on the BMW Z4 tire make sure the tire pressure is correct, then turn on the vehicle. Now hit the reset button that is to the right of the steering wheel and wait ten minutes. In some cases you may need to hold the button down till the light flashes.
