There are a few different ways that You can reset the check engine light on the 2014 Buick Encore. One of the first things You can do that doesn't require much work is to just drive the vehicle for a while and hope that it goes off by itself. Another thing that You can do is to unplug the battery and leave it unplugged for about 5 to 10 minutes. If neither of those worked You will need an OBD-II scanner. Park the vehicle, turn off the ignition and then set the parking brakes. Find the OBD-II port under the dashboard and plugin the OBD-II scanner. Turn the ignition to on without starting the vehicle. Read the codes that popup on the scanner, find out what they mean and then fix each problem that needs fixed.
