To reset the Jeep Liberty's anti-theft system, pull on the driver's handle and unlock the driver's door manually with the chipped key. You can also depress the panic lever to disable the alarm. Alternatively, press the panic button for 5 seconds followed by depressing the lock command 2 times. Walk ten feet away from the car and wait ten minutes before depressing the unlock feature on the fob twice. This may reset the anti-theft warning. In the Liberty the security system may be located under the driver's dash. Remove the panels by unclipping them and locate a red toggle button that controls the vehicle's alarm. Turn on the car and depress the red button until a "chirping" sound is heard and the alarm has powered off.

To reset the Jeep Wrangler safe, use the ignition key to turn your car on and keep the red toggle switch on the alarm system. Wait until the detector is turned off and the machine emits a chirping sound. The LED light on the panel would also be turned on to show that the alarm is reset and the device is working.
