The modern generation of Chevy Malibu vehicles are going to be front wheel drive and You're not going to be able to flat tow them. This will come as a frustration for many who would like to take one with them and tow it behind a fifth wheel. This will not be an option for this vehicle. You're going to need to tow it in the traditional manner with the front wheels off the ground. If You attempt to flat tow this vehicle You're going to ruin the transmission.
I have flat towed my 2015 malabu for over 40 thousand miles .I remove 2 fuses run the engine every 150 miles.for a couple of minutes .Drained the transmission last week the pan was clean and smelled normal.
