The maintenance light on a Toyota Tacoma is there to remind You to get Your vehicle to a shop to get services done on it. Usually a dealership or shop will turn this light off when they are done with the services. If they forgot to, or You are servicing the car Yourself then You can turn it off. To disable it all You have to do is start with the vehicle off. Press and hold the odometer reset button. Then turn the vehicle on and back off. After You turn it off release the reset button and You can start the vehicle like normal and the maintenance reminder light will be turned off on the dash.

To turn off the maintenance light on your toyota tacoma, start by turning the key to the on position. Then, press and hold the odometer button. While still holding the odometer button, turn the key to the off position. Finally, while still holding the odometer button, turn the key to run position and the light should go off after a few seconds.

For a third generation Tacoma hold down the odometer reset button put the key in the ignition turn to the right without starting the truck and keep holding the button down until the four yellow blinking lights all disapper.
