To reset the alarm on the Toyota Tacoma You have two options. You can pop the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable, then leave it off for about 30 minutes. This will make the power in the CPU drain, which will force the system to reset itself the next time it comes on. The other option is to pull the fuse from the fuse boxAnd wait a similar amount of time. This will do the same thing but will be more targeted. If You pull the battery it will reset a lot of things. If You just pull the fuse then it will only rest the alarm, but You will need to look at the fuse diagram and figure out which fuse is correct.

The best way to do this is to use the remote turn off system. Or you can unlock and lock the doors.

2001 Tacoma - Anti Theft system?. Removed the battery. When I replaced it the horn beeped for a few seconds. But then I could not start the car. Followed suggested of turning the ignition switch on and off several times. After the beeping stopped, I was able to start the car. When I opened the car door the beeping resumed. What can I do to. Keep the horn from coming on? I called a dealer and was told to bring the car in. The Toyota dealer is 45 minutes away. Internet sites make offered "simple" fixes That have not worked,
