Bleeding the Ford Ranger's fuel system is going to let you pump the fuel without turning on the engine via a small lever. You'll purge air from the low-pressure side of the fuel system, open the fuel-line screws, and bleed the ports downstream of the pump, in order from those closest to the pump to further out, until the air has bled out. To bleed the high-pressure fuel system, loosen the union nuts between the top of the fuel injectors and the fuel line; only turn once or twice. Crank the engine with the starter for about 10 seconds, and verify that there's fuel coming out. When you see that, tighten the unions back up.

Bleeding a ford ranger fuel system entails loosening the union nuts between the fuel injectors and the fuel line, then removing the bleed screws.
