If You need to remove the dash in a Chevy S-10 it is a fairly involved process. You will need to make to have pry tools, nut drivers, sockets, and screw drivers to complete the project. First You will want to remove the glove compartment and the trim pieces that are on the dash. From there You will be able to access the firSTScrews. Remove them and then You can start removing the panels that are behind them. You will also need to access bolts that are in the footwells to remove the top of the dash. There are many different types of clips also used so be gentle with them so that they do not break.

Using a screwdriver, you can unscrew the dash on a chevy s10 and detach the upper screws for the knee bolster above the steering column. Use your screwdriver to detach the screws for the sound insulator panels on the underside of the dash and then lower them off the instrument panel. Tilt down the steering column and move the transmission lever into a low gear to give you more work space. Take the remaining screws from the knee bolster and remove them from the instrument panel. Remove the two retaining screws which are accessible from the underside above the cluster for the instrument cluster bezel.
