I'm not sure where You're at in the process of removing the front seat from Your Chevrolet Sonic, so let's go ahead and start at the ... Well, start. First, disconnect the battery. Why Because the air bag deploying when You're doing this would be sub-optimal. Next, remove the 2 T50 bolts keeping the seat in place. You'll see one in the open, the other is hidden under a plastic cover. To remove that, just pry it off with a flathead screwdriver. Disconnect the wiring harness from underneath the seat. Once You've done that, You can push the seat towards the front of the car and then pull it out. Your airbag sensor will still be attached, so be careful of that as You remove the seat. There is a plastic covering over the airbag sensor. Unhooked the plastic enough to see the bolt holding it down (T50) and remove it. When the bolt is removed, You can pull an orange tab to unhook the cable from the sensor, and then You can remove the sensor from the seat. Unhook the seat belt buckle from the wiring harness, and then remove the seat belt buckle after unbolting the T50 bolts.

Push the seat forward to access the bolts, and use a wrench to remove them.
