Technically, You can't disable the immobilizer on a Mazda6, as this is by design; it says so, right there in the Mazda service manual. However, if You just mean, "How do iMake my stupid car start when the anti-theft system won't let it!", then read on. If Your key FOB doesn't seem to be working, chances are the small lithium battery in it has died; if You've got a spare one on hand (battery), just replace this, and see if the immobilizer will turn off now, that it's getting the correct signal from the key. Alternatively, You can just try another key FOB. The other thing You can do here is, assuming You have a code card for the vehicle, is turn on the ignition, and then use the buttons on the steering wheel central column to enter those digits. This should also allow You to bypass the immobilizer to start Your vehicle.

To restore the immobilizer to the Mazda 6 you should make sure the key is within the signal transmitting operating range. Turn off the ignition, then restart the engine. If the engine does not start after 3 or more attempts, contact the Approved Mazda Dealer. If the safety warning light shines constantly when you are driving, do not turn down the engine.
