To remove the seats in Your Toyota Highlander You will first get a screwdriver and pop out the two clips that are on the front edge of the seats. Now You can go to the back of the vehicle and find two more screw caps that You will pop off and loosen. This will allow You to remove the bolts that are hold the seat in place. There will be 5 bolts on each side that You will have to loosen and remove and You will need a 9/16th socket. Once You have the seats unhinged You will fold the top half of the seat and rotate them to bring it out the back of the SUV which will make it easier. You may need an extra person because the seat is about 50 lbs and is hard to maneuver.

It's really quite easy 1 the front edge Of the 3rd row has two clips that fit into the support. Ar going across the rear to support the-seat front . A wide flat blade screwdriver will pop them up 2 go to the back of the utility Tthat holds the spar tire tools start from the right side and pop them loose. This will alow easier access to the screws 9/16 sockets that hold the seats/belts and electrical conections. 3.disconnection of the 3rd row electrical will not affect the safety notification system. The car just dosent know they are not there 4. The seats come out easier if two people fold the seats, rotate towards the rear and go out the back 5. Note the difference in the bolts..and IMPORTANTLY! Put the bolts back into the holes and tighten finger tight! (Murphys rule Down the road you will want to put the seat back and will be clueless Where the screws are or which hole they go in..trust me. I only wanted the storage space so I cut two pieces of 1/4 plywood, sanded and made a support bar to hold them in front and made a level platform to match the second row seats when folded down. May e I can post some pictures...really quite simple to do and does not take a month ofa sundays Good luck Rams
