If the battery fails follow these steps to get it started again. Locate the hood release button next to the brake pedal in the cabin. Pull it to open the hood. Release and raise the hood by depressing the front latch. Prop open using the transit's engine bay support. The battery is located on the right-hand or drivers side of the van next to the firewall in a black box. The positive battery node is housed under a red cover next to the battery. A negative connection can be established by connecting to a metal bolt on the fender wall. Connect charger red and black cables to appropriate nodes and attempt a start.
