How to open Jaguar XF bonnet?

Getting into the Jaguar XF bonnet (hood) is pretty straightforward. All You need to do is pull on the bonnet release lever which is found in the left footwell in the front of the car. This will pop the hood, but not actually open it completely. To open it, move to the front of the hood, and put Your fingers around the middle and bottom of the hood, where You should feel a lever. Pull on this lever, and it will release the hood catch. This frees up the hood, and You can raise it up. Be careful to raise the hood far enough for it to support itself. If You only open it a little and let it go, it could come slamming down and injure any fingers in its way.
